I feel so bad that I got to see this site too late. I am soooo stup~d to fall for their tactics last April 28. This time they are in MC HOME DEPOT, FORT BONIFACIO.
I went though the same coupon in a mug ek ek., 3 sales people cheering, jumping up and down, call to their supervisor to check kung "tutuo ba itong free induction stove package..." The boss asking if we have any relatives...if the coupon was sealed...Music blaring in the background... Had to buy Php 38,800 Water Purifier to get their package-F of a free induction stove, vacuum cleaner, rice/pressure cooker. They said items were Japan parts, but manufactured in Malaysia. They even said The water filter doesn't need replacing of filters, only to read in the instructions that it has to be replaced 1x year of normal use.
I hope I can still cancel my credit card transaction and return the products.

were you able to cancel your credit card?

the product is ok no question is why do they need to overprice their products and pretend that the people can get a package deal out of a certain promo that they won..when infact they just both the whole package already with a price of one product they are selling...i was victimized as well i returned the products...its ok to spend money they were nice its just that they opted to FOOL and LURE people on winning???aint that stup~d and BAD...people can deal with loosing money but its fooling people is what disgusts me and most of the people here

All who want to air their complaints against AOWA sales personnel should get in touch with Atty. Rohairah Lao-Tamano, Head, Legal Affairs Center, DTI-NCR at tel. nos. 811-8231 to 33 lovsl 1229 immediately. A mediation meeting will be allegedly held for AOWA to answer such complaints.

I don't think they are authentic and I wish somebody at DTI will close down their outlets. In fact, I'm filing a complaint at DTI after posting this. There's a NEW AOWA outlet at the ground floor of the Harrison Plaza mall that I visited just yesterday. It was NEW!
I was accosted by their homosexual staff at the entrance then escorted to their new outlet for their "opening day" give-away. He said I only needed to listen to a 3-minute presentation by another homosexual staff named John.
Now, this John showed me a brochure of appliances with NO prices on them. I raised a brow when I asked and they revealed that all the items there are worth P38,000! Imagine, they were selling an electric foot spa which you can get at P2k for P38K! The vacuum cleaner (which you can have at P5K max) also goes for P38k! Same price for body spa and the other items. And these were not made of gold! They were supposed to be made in Japan by this unheard of manufacturer.
I asked John who is their President and he cannot even tell me. He cannot even produce a calling card. I was wondering what kind of scam company will set up in a C-D class mall selling P38,000 per unit non-essential appliances using blatantly loud, homosexual salemen with no class.
Then he and his assistant produced this small sealed envelope so that I can have a discount or a free gift anytime I buy something from their store. They really staged a grand drama. What they lacked in class, they made up in histrionics.
When I opened it, it says I'm supposed to be entitled to a free body spa worth P38k with a minimum purchase of any item (which also happens to be P38k). Now, the body spa is not available and John says I'm not supposed to GET it. Usually, they only give away P1K discounts or a free mini-microphone. Now, this is really something BIG!
So he radios his supervisor and he even makes her speak to me. The supervisor asks me if I have a relative or friend in the company because I'm NOT supposed to get such a prize. That's just for their distributors. Then she asks to speak to John again.
Afterwards, he tells me - again - that such a grand prize is supposed to be given only to their distributors and they could only AFFORD to give such a prize because they took it from their savings from ads, etc.
Inasmuch as the body spa is out of stock, he confers with the woman on the radio again - and makes sure that I hear the conversation. "So, I'll give her the hot and cold purifier? Are you sure? That's more expensive!"
And then he comes back to me, jumping up and down, saying, "Ma'am, you're so lucky, you're getting our very expensive hot and cold purifier which is worth P38,000, plus a rice cooker. You'll get over P52,000 worth of items for free!"
"Yeah," I said. "But how much is the minimum purchase I have to make? P38,000?"
Well, he did not reply or chose to ignore my question as he was busy dragging out the purifier before me. I had friends of friends who had been victimized by such water purifier scams a couple of years before, but the outlets of these scams had been in groceries, not in malls.
Unless one is really stup~d, or momentarily blinded by the prospect of getting P52K worth of nothing for free, it's not that hard to figure out the Aowa scam.
You can get the same hot and cold water purifier at neighboring appliance stores for P6,000 - or less. A vacuum cleaner costs at the maximum, P5,000. A rice cooker is P1,000 or even less. You can get all three items you are supposed to get for P12,000 maximum. But if you go for the Aowa scam, you pay P38,000. They scam you for at least P26,000!
Now, John was joined by his assistant and the gay guy who brought me in, trying to convince me that this is the chance of a lifetime. I have to claim my prize within that day. If I don't have cash, I can pay it via credit card. All I have to do is deposit P5,000.
I said: No way!
Somewhere in between the exchanges, John's female assistant had already cleaned up the evidence. My "winning stub/envelope" has already vanished from the table... Oh, I did mention DTI earlier, in fact. I asked them if they have DTI permit and they cannot answer me.
But I can imagine their scam must be victimizing a LOT of gullible people out there! Otherwise, how can they afford to rent a space at the mall? Oh, but anyway, all they have to do is deceive a single customer hungry for bargains and prizes in one day. One customer in one day. That's enough to pay their rental at the Harrison Plaza mall for one whole month!

reading the item of jessamine is a total flashback to me... Knowing all these and the opening of their new store in Harrison Plaza is a sad thing to know. I am from subic, i found out that they are selling in Olongapo Mall. How far can this company go in staging their drama to deceive buyers? Apparently, the DTI hasn't really made their presence felt yet!!!!

Hi purpledyen,

I emailed DTI, they responded and was able to facilitate a full refund from aowa. Basta masoli lang ang mga items na di gamit. that was in Feruary pa , so if you just bought these you can still return it or call DTI. Its easier for you to do this kasi you are in the Philippines. Hirap kc nasa malayo ako pero I did it. I also used my debit card in purchasing these and my bank already returned my money back, its now bank vs. aowa. so go for it gang !

to purpledyen,
nangyari na rin sa amin yng case mo pero agad kaming tumawag sa credit card company namin to seek for an advise. The agent told me to present a notice of cancellation to aowa. Sana maayos mo pa rin yan. good luck!

Hi to all,

its sad to read na aowa still exist and they still do because DTI is busy doing everything except their job.
we've experienced the same things. from the fcuking free umbrella with mugs and all those jumping alleluia!! you won a great package!!! congratulations!!
but fortunately for us, we were able to pull a transaction reversal. its because im lucky enough to pull some influence from a friend.
you see, my wife was actually the victim. kaka park ko lang sa gaisano countrymall (cebu city) and went to check her sa grocery when she texted me na she was at aowa daw with demo of foot massage. blah-blah-blah later yun, sinimulan na yung modus ng mga pesteng aowa insects.
i smelled scam na agad kasi the lowest one have to buy is P33k to get all those freebies. in short, we charged it sa card ko.
i called my classmate whom got the same aowa products when we came home.ayun sabi niya parang binayaran mo rin yung ibang freebies.
so early next day, i called a friend who is with the PNP. i asked for some policemen to accompany us to aowa. pag dating sa aowa we introduced ourselves and ive noticed they pumped up the volume of their home theater para di mabulabog yung isang potential victim nila.
the manager gave me a reversal form which i filled up and promised to us that reversal will be processed in 5-10days. well, after irritating days of follow up, it was finally reversed. hayy...saved yung P33k na dapat sana eh binabayaran ko pa till now. that happened last year of september.
i made a complaint thru my friend in media who emailed this to senator mar roxas and DTI. till now existing pa rin tong mga d^m^nyong aowa stores na yan.
given the authority ako na yayari sa mga managers nila eh para maiwasan na yung pambibiktima nila.

Hi, hanggang ngayon ba may AOWA outlets pa? FIrst time sa isang Cubao Mall. Gud day to all.

i don't know why AOWA is still existing, naging biktima ako back 2002, at Uniwide Coastal habang hinihintay ko ang husband ko biglang may lumapit sakin na staff nila with the propaganda, in short naloko tlaga ako, tulad sa mga reklamo nyo as in pareho rin ang ginawa sakin, DVD naman worth 52T kesyo, nakakuha daw ako ng discount kaya 22T nalang binayaran ko with free fryer and sauna..
only 2 months ko lang ginamit di na gumana and DVD kaya binalik ko sa knila, they fixed it naman..lately ko lang nalaman na lokohan ng mapanood ko sa imbestigador..sobrang nakakainis..naging lesson sakin, kaya now lahat ng lumalapit sakin for any promotion and propaganda nasisigawan ko na...
SANA LANG MAPASARA NA LAHAT NG OUTLET NILA...

hi, kami din nabiktima ng husband ko. july29, 2007. first time namin maggrocery sa makro cubao and same story, may libreng payong daw, etc..with free gift...in short, we spent Php37,800, paid using credit card. pero we "won" daw the highest package! pinakausap sa husband ko yung manager, etc etc, kung relative daw kami, etc etc. we took home vacuum cleaner, induction cooker, convection oven, at multicooker. mahal nga! kung ididivide mo ang php37,800 by 4, lumalabas na ~9500 ang isa. mahal pa din! nung tumingin kami sa appliance store ng high end brands, ang vacuum cleaner hanggang 6000 lang. sh*^t! akala ko never akong mabibiktima sa mga ganto. my problem: nagamit ko na vacuum cleaner. the rest hindi pa. puwede pa bang isaoli? accdg to lanimark_qt: nakarefund siya maski feb pa niya nabili.. nagamit mo ba? pano mo ginawa? nahihiya ako sa asawa ko..ako nangulit na kelangan namin ng vacuum cleaner..eh meron palang mas mura na high-end brand naman. nanakawan kami ng 37,800..eh government employee lang asawa ko! patulong naman!

there's a similar scammer in lucena using loud and cheap gays as salespersons. like AOWA, they'll offer free small items makinig ka lang sa kanila while they demo some of their units.
then you'll be winning something kuno provided you buy one of their products na sobrang over-priced naman.
kawawa naman yung mga naloloko nito na akala e nakakuha talaga ng free items. if they'll just check first, they will realize that they are paying more and for items na di naman nila kailangan talaga.
